From Fr. Peter: The seed grows, we know not how

Hello dear friends, this Sunday Jesus gives us two small parables about seeds. A farmer scatters seed and then sleeps; night and day the seed sprouts and grows, he knows not how. A mustard seed, smallest of all, becomes the largest of plants.

Most of what God does in us is quiet. We rarely feel ourselves growing in faith: and yet, looking back over a year, or ten, we see the branches. Last Sunday's Corpus Christi procession was one of those mustard-seed moments for our parishes: so many of us walking together behind the Blessed Sacrament through Coldstream. Thank you to everyone who came, carried, sang, and prayed.

This summer, let the seed rest in good soil. Come to daily Mass when you can. Sit an hour with the Lord in Adoration. And bring the kids to Vacation Bible School: registration closes soon. God will give the growth.
