Upon This Rock
Upon This Rock is a course developed in our own parish. It orients you to the Biblical foundations of the Catholic Church, the basic message of Christ, and the mission of His Church. It is the path our parishes use for the Order of Christian Initiation of Adults (OCIA): the way adults prepare for baptism, confirmation, and first Eucharist. Many lifelong Catholics have taken it simply to rediscover their faith.
If you were baptized in another Christian tradition, your baptism is honoured: you will prepare for confirmation and Eucharist rather than being baptized again.
The heart of the Catholic story
Catholics believe that creation is a gift from a God who knows and loves us, and that Jesus Christ entered human history to restore what sin had broken.
His death and resurrection are the centre of the faith. The Church continues the life he gave his disciples through Scripture, prayer, community, and the sacraments.
